"Impetus"

Taken from the translation of the Chinese "Yuándònglì"  (原动力), ("Motive Force")  a nod to the Asian influence and blending of Tachisme into Lyrical Abstraction, which served in part as an aesthetic motivation for the development of these works.

 

Developed  in late 2016, each of the images in this series is  16 " x 20" (40.64cm x 50.8cm)

"Versus Verses (VS)" series
(2015-2017)

Taking a cue from the remix vernacular of the world of electronic music, the title "Versus Verses" is a reference to the blending of drawing styles. The series seamlessly blends organi-morphic raster shapes with the precision of infinitely scalable algorithmic vector line work, and geometric diagrams. This series was started in 2015 and continues to grow.

 

Each print in the edition is 12" x 12" (~30.5cm x 30.5cm) on paper.  Traditional drawing scanned with digital drawing.

"Precariot" series (2015-2016)

This is a nseries of monotone work that was started in 2015 and will continue into the next few years. New work will be posted as it is completed. The images will be available through Muse Gallery, Columbus, Ohio.

"Telluric" series (2013)

This series of 12" x 12", wet-media paintings is inspired in part, by aerial topography, land formations, earthworks, and terrain surfaces of both this and other worlds. Each image is acrylic and mixed media on canvas, archivally sealed and coated with a UV protection.  The 'Telluric Paintings' were started in September of 2013. Paintings are available for purchase, to raise funds for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

"Formations" series (2010)

This series of 3 images was created in 2010. The aesthetic impetus for the series comes from an illustration done by the artist for the short story,"The Untied States of America", written by Mario Milosevic and published by TTA Press (UK Interzone, #228, May-June 2010). This series, "Formations" followed that publication and exists independently. Each image in the set is 9" x 12 " and is archivally printed on paper. Edition size is limited to 30.
